Todd Ballenger

Todd Ballenger has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry specializing in mortgage lending, real estate, and bank technology. Todd founded/co-founded 10 companies, including; Capital Savings, Advantage Capital USA, PlanMax; these three companies closed over $2 billion dollars before being rolled into the Nasdaq mortgage.com IPO in 1999. His last software product (Borrow Smart) was sold to a private equity group in 2017.

Todd published real estate and lending courses taught in over 42 states. His Mentor Executive Management program has graduated over 80 Mortgage CEOs and Manager from a rigorous 12 month executive coaching curriculum.

Todd has a business degree from the University of North Carolina, co-founded the Carolina Entrepreneurship Club in 2002 and presently supports UNC in the development of an innovative new career and alumni networking platform. He's the author of Borrow Smart Repay Smart, and Crossing the Balance Sheet... Todd is a two-time Inc. 500 winner, a three-time KPMG Fast 50 winner, and the 1998 NC Mortgage Lender of the year. Todd was twice awarded the '40 Under 40' award by the Triangle Business Journal.

Todd provided consulting services for a number of the nation's top financial institutions - mentoring corporations and schools that want to give back through financial education at NIFE (his 501c3 non-profit focused on building personal financial awareness).
